Project Scope
This position provides full-time safety oversight for electrical construction activities on a large-scale semiconductor facility in Spokane Valley, WA. The Safety Manager will oversee complex electrical installation work including high- and medium-voltage power distribution, switchgear, transformers, substations, and facility power systems supporting cleanroom environments.
The role requires working within a highly structured safety environment with strict permit-to-work systems, detailed AHA/JHA reviews, and extensive daily reporting. The Safety Manager will collaborate closely with electrical contractors, project leadership, and multiple safety teams to ensure compliance with OSHA standards, NFPA 70E requirements, and site-specific safety protocols.
Qualifications
ā
4-year degree in Safety or related field and/or
ā
BCSP certification (minimum CHST) with 3+ years of safety experience and/or
ā
OSHA 510 with 5+ years of safety experience
ā
Experience supporting electrical construction or data center builds
Preferred ā
NFPA 70E experience
ā
Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Comfortable working in a highly regulated, permit-driven safety environment
ā
Experience with energized electrical work, confined space, and hot work permits
ā
Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills
ā
Ability to coordinate with multiple contractors and project stakeholders
ā
Comfortable working extended hours in a fast-paced construction setting
Key Responsibilities
- Provide site safety oversight for electrical construction activities
- Enforce OSHA, NFPA 70E, and site-specific safety programs
- Review and approve AHAs/JHAs and permit-to-work documentation
- Conduct daily safety inspections, audits, and field observations
- Lead pre-task planning meetings, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
- Monitor electrical hazards including energized systems and high-voltage work
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns
- Maintain accurate daily safety documentation and compliance records
- Coordinate with project management and contractor safety teams on hazard mitigation

- Strong working knowledge of construction and electrical safety standards

Knowledge Base
