We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machinist to join our R&D Applications team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating and programming CNC machines, as well as manual machining equipment, to produce high-quality metal components that meet exact specifications. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency. You will report directly to our Senior R&D Manager, and you’ll work out of our Spokane Valley, WA location. In this role, you will impact the development of cutting-edge technologies and solutions, ensuring that our R&D projects are executed on schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up, operate and maintain advanced machining equipment including CNC and manual machines, ensuring high-quality production of prototypes and components.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, sketches, and technical specifications.
  • Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, and other inspection tools.
  • Monitor machining processes to ensure compliance with tolerance and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain equipment and work area in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
  • Collaborate with R&D and production teams to design and fabricate parts that meet specifications.
  • Document the work performed and maintain accurate production records.
