Summary:
Oversee all areas of Support Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) development, implementation, and program's contractual agreements.  Work collaboratively with partnering agencies to fulfill contractual agreements based on requirements from the Veterans Administration. 
Driving required using company and/or personal vehicle. Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, proof of personal auto insurance, pass driver record and background check.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Supervisory Requirements:
Supervise, evaluate, and coach a minimum of 10 employees, interns, and volunteers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Meet program specific expectations per the contractual agreement and written grant supplied by the Department of Veteran Affairs.
  • Explore, develop and implement strategies to recruit veterans from the targeted populations.
  • Support the creation of partnerships and collaboration with various community partners. Establish and maintain good working relationship with these partners.
  • Utilize and maintain participant data records in tracking system. Enter all data in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Report evolutions and outcomes as required by contract.
  • Ensure all file records, documentation, evaluations and case records are accurate, complete and timely.
  • Supervise SSVF Program staff in all areas of the program. 
  • Host meetings, staffing's, and other activities as directed to promote and review the effectiveness of Individual Housing Plans and overall case management efforts.
  • Assist and train program staff with a people centered approach on screening and eligibility process, participant plan development, and case management requirements, and other necessary functions.
  • Attend meetings, conferences, training, and workshops, as approved or required by supervisor.
  • Ensure services are provided in accordance with Goodwill policies, CARF standards, and principles of safety.
  • Model appropriate work behaviors and interpersonal skills.
  • Inform business, labor, and the general public about Goodwill services and available potential employees.
  • Maintain budget and expenditures per contract and grant agreement.
  • Participate in WFS department meetings, upon request.
  • Coordinate and complete personnel functions according to company policies and procedures to include training, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and record keeping.
  • Be an active participant and facilitate, as requested, Program Quality Reviews for all assigned programs.
  • Model and train appropriate work behaviors and interpersonal skills.
  • Follow all policies, procedures, and directives of Goodwill Industries assuring safety of personnel or property.
  • Work collaboratively with Workforce and Family Services to provide participant services.
  • Properly wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain agency confidentiality.  Violation of confidentiality is cause for immediate dismissal.
  • Comply with all health, safety and fire standards and all local, state and federal regulations (WISHA & OSHA).
  • Other duties as assigned.
