Job DetailsJob Location: Midland - Midland, TX 79706Position Type: Full Time  Drug-Free Workplace| DOT-Compliant| Pre-Employment and Random Testing Required   Aegis Chemical Solutions is searching for an accountable, self-motivated Blender for operations for the designated area/customer. Description:  The Blender will be responsible for (including but not limited to): Setting up and starting all mixing tanks and blenders Obtaining and understanding all documentation for making batches. Ensuring correct ingredients are used for each batch Pumping and pouring chemicals into blend tanks in predetermined quantities Operating equipment safely (mixers, scales, meters, pumps, forklifts, etc.) Ensuring all raw materials returned to inventory have the right quantity and information on containers and containers are in good condition Following lab instructions regarding batch approval, adjustments, and any additional requirements Cleaning equipment when needed Referring issues/problems to Supervisor Communicating with Treaters, Delivery Drivers, Account Representatives, and Account Managers when batches are ready to go out Completing all paperwork and batch documentation in a timely manner Observing safety requirements set forth by the organization   Aegis Offers: At Aegis, we offer a fantastic benefit package compared to some of our larger competitors. QualificationsQualifications:  Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English at a level necessary to safely and effectively perform the essential functions of the position, including understanding written and verbal instructions, policies, procedures, and job-related communications. Two or more years of previous experience blending chemicals in the production chemical industry is preferred. A valid forklift certification and high school diploma or GED is required. This position requires the ability and desire to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and terrains (90% of working time). Daily physical demands of this position include, but are not limited to, sitting, standing, bending, climbing, agility, reaching, trunk movements, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, low level work, dexterity of hands and fingers, seeing, hearing, and talking. All candidates must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, as well as excellent problem-solving skills, customer service, and interpersonal skills. They must also be able to read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English, including safety rules, operating procedures, product recipes, material identification, etc. They must have mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, and the ability to perform these operations using weight and volume measurements.  Beginner proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point) is a must. All candidates must be self-starters, who need little direction to complete tasks. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs. at any given time, greater than 50% of the time. Ability to safely operate a forklift Able to manipulate and roll 55-gallon drums of chemicals (500 lbs) Daily physical demands of the position include, but are not limited to: sitting, standing, bending, climbing, agility, reaching, trunk movements, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, low level work, dexterity of hands and fingers, seeing, hearing and talking.   We are a DRUG-FREE workplace committed to employee health and safety.
