The Director of Facilities Management leads the planning, operation, and maintenance of all hospital buildings, infrastructure, and physical assets for the NEW free-standing psychiatric hospital at Permian Basin Behavioral Health Center in Midland, TX.Â

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Â
Facilities Operations & Maintenance
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and functionality of all hospital buildings, grounds, and utility systems.
- Lead teams responsible for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general maintenance operations. Also includes oversight of Environmental Services, and Dietary.
- Ensure all life-safety systems are fully operational and compliant.

Regulatory Compliance & Safety
- Ensure full compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, NFPA, OSHA, and state/local regulatory standards.
- Maintain documentation, reports, and readiness plans for surveys and audits.
- Implement and maintain Environment of Care standards and emergency preparedness protocols.
Â
Leadership & Department Management
- Manage and mentor facilities staff.
- Develop department budgets and performance metrics.
- Coordinate operations with clinical and administrative teams.
Â
Capital Planning & Project Management
- Lead planning for facility improvements and expansions.
- Oversee construction projects and contractor management.
- Evaluate infrastructure needs and develop capital project proposals.
Â
Energy, Environmental, & Sustainability Initiatives
- Monitor energy usage and implement sustainability strategies.
- Oversee utilities management and energy efficiency audits.
Requirements/Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree; preferably in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, or related field.
- 3–5+ years of progressive experience in facilities management, preferably healthcare.
- Knowledge of hospital regulatory requirements.
- Leadership and team management experience.

Preferred:
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Certifications such as CHFM, CHC, PE, or LEED.
- Experience managing large capital improvement projects.
