Fabricator

Wardcraft | Jackson, MI | Full-time


Wardcraft is looking for a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our growing team. If you take pride in clean welds, precise fabrication, and being part of a hands-on manufacturing crew, we want to hear from you!


Requirements

 

What You'll Do

  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on components per engineering drawings, layouts, work orders, or verbal instruction
  • Set up and lay out work using jigs, fixtures, or hand layouts to fabricate parts and rework finished products
  • Collaborate with team members to fabricate and weld multi-component parts
  • Operate forklifts, hoists, hand power tools, slings, grinders, and cutting torches
  • Inspect and correct welds to meet product specifications
  • Handle and cut materials to job order specifications

What We're Looking For

  • 2–4 years of welding/fabrication experience
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong tape measure and blueprint reading skills
  • Aluminum welding and heavy equipment manufacturing experience a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment with exposure to fumes, noise, and temperature extremes
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs

Schedule

Choose from:

  • Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, or
  • Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM

Regular overtime and occasional weekend work required. Travel is primarily local, with occasional out-of-area or overnight trips.
