This high-technology plant is a new construction that has the latest in battery cell manufacturing technology. Job Description:
The Material Supervisor will lead a team and provide employee development, training, and drive the performance management process as well as manage an efficient organizational structure. Executes deliverables in support of the supply chain organization's business objectives. Guides of one of the key areas within the Global Supply Chain to ensure business objectives are met or exceeded in all areas including customer, quality, service, responsiveness, people, product and financial initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities:
•   Being a Safety Leader, ensuring all team members are following required safety requirements.
•   Learn and teach team SAP based inventory control system for receiving and shipping.
•   Ability to understand and assess complex supply chain issues and lead teams in a cross-functional environment to successfully resolve issues minimizing impacts to vehicle production
•   Assess supplier schedules and impact on production
•   Collaborate cross-functionally to develop creative solutions within a team environment
•   Ability to summarize critical issues with resolutions and communicate to leadership
•   Handle very complex capacity constraint issues to resolution with the goal to eliminate potential plant disruptions and reduce premium transportation
•   Analyze metrics supporting supplier critical issues or sufficiency plan resolution
•   Ability to be flexible and at times work extended and non-core hours to ensure issues are worked to resolution
•   Ability to travel to plant locations when required for onsite support of launch and build-out
•   Ability to problem tackle complete issues and implement new and innovative strategies
•   Deep understanding of Supply Chain functions
•   Responsible for supporting relationship management with logistic suppliers and service providers
•   Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications and Competencies:
•   Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or business management is preferredÂ
•   One to three years of operations supply chain experience required.
•   Proven experience in a manufacturing supervisory role, with a strong understanding of complex production processes and techniques; experience in lithium-ion battery manufacturing a plus
•   Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures, with a commitment to creating and maintaining a safe working environment
•   Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyÂ
•   Proficiency in MS Office applications and manufacturing software systems
•   Ability to work in a collaborative, multicultural, team environment
•   Strong organizational and leadership abilities
•   Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
•   Strong understanding of quality processes
•   Effective oral and written communication skills
•   Proven problem-solving skills
•   Must be able to speak, read and write English
•   Ability to work in a collaborative team environment

Upon hire, employee will receive initial Environmental training over RCRA, SWPPP, SPCC, and emergency escalation. Annual refresher training will be completed every year after to fulfill the requirements of 49 CFR. Other training needs to be provided as required.
