Description
The tentative schedule will consist of 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Thursday through Saturday, followed by Monday through Wednesday the following week. Training will be onsite in Columbia until the Spring Hill location opens in late spring.Â

Our Cast Technician plays an important role in the overall care and services to our patients. TOA has a fast-paced environment that provides the right candidate excellent opportunities to help patients and build a career with one of the largest orthopaedic practices in Tennessee.Â
Responsibilities
- Apply, adjust, and remove fiberglass/plaster casts and splints as directed by a physician or physician assistantÂ
- Inspect and adjust bandages and equipmentÂ
- Provide patient instructions on cast/splint careÂ
- Maintain, clean, package, and sterilize surgical instruments used in the officeÂ
- Assist with administering and applying durable medical equipment when neededÂ
- Clean and stock cast and procedure rooms
Requirements
- High school diploma required, college education or trade school preferredÂ
- Orthopaedic Technician experience is preferredÂ
- Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within an orthopaedic officeÂ
- Casting experience is preferredÂ
- Minimum basic knowledge of anatomy is neededÂ
- Exceptional customer service and patient focus.
