About the Role:
Discovery Point - Seven Hills in Spring Hill, FL is looking for a passionate and nurturing Toddler Teacher to join our team! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of young children during their most formative years. Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities for toddler-aged children
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment
- Monitor and support the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child progress and daily activities
- Maintain accurate developmental records, daily logs, and attendance documentation
- Ensure classroom cleanliness and adherence to health and safety standards
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support a positive learning community
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; CDA, ECE degree, or coursework preferred
- Prior experience working with toddlers or in an early childhood education setting
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for toddler-age children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and staff
- Ability to pass a background screening and meet state childcare licensing requirements
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Patient, energetic, and genuinely passionate about early childhood development
