Position Summary
The Adjunct Professor is a part-time faculty member responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in their area of expertise at the college or university level. This role involves preparing and teaching courses, assessing student performance, and fostering an engaging learning environment that supports academic success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver course content in alignment with institutional standards and learning objectives.
- Prepare syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, and assessments.
- Teach scheduled classes, both in-person and/or online, using effective instructional strategies.
- Evaluate and grade student work in a timely and constructive manner.
- Provide academic support, guidance, and feedback to students.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
- Stay current with developments in the field of study and integrate relevant updates into teaching.
- Participate in limited departmental meetings or training sessions as required.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in the relevant discipline (Doctorate preferred for adjunct roles but not required for all).
- Demonstrated expertise and professional experience in the subject area.
- Prior teaching experience at the college or university level preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.

Work Schedule & Compensation
- Part-time, contractual position; hours vary by course load.
