Schedule: Full-time; flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and on-call availability as needed

We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to help maintain the safety, functionality, and appearance of our property.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of the Inn’s buildings, equipment, and grounds. This role supports restaurant operations, banquet facilities, guest areas, and back-of-house spaces, ensuring the property remains safe, well-maintained, and operational at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC support, carpentry, painting, and general building upkeep
  • Be available to respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair needs across restaurant, banquet, and public areas, including outside of normal operating hours to support operations and guest experience.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and equipment failures
  • Maintain and repair kitchen equipment, refrigeration, dish machines, and other operational equipment
  • Lead seasonal projects such as snow removal, landscaping coordination, and exterior upkeep
  • Monitor building systems and report larger repair needs or safety concerns
  • Maintain clean, organized maintenance areas and properly store tools and supplies
  • Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors as needed
  • Follow all safety procedures and comply with local building codes and regulations
  • Support special events, banquets, and large functions with setup and breakdown as required

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years of experience in general maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related trade preferred
  • HVAC Certified
  • Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently
  • Experience in a hospitality, restaurant, hotel, or banquet facility preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, climbing, and working outdoors
  • Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and on-call situations
  • Professional demeanor and ability to work well with all departments
