Responsibilities

  • Experience in the maintenance, repair, and modification of aircraft structures, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.Ā 

  • Inspecting, repairing, and maintaining aircraft sheet metal structures.Ā 

  • Performing modifications and installations based on engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Using precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical manuals, and other documents.

  • Conducting routine and non-routine maintenance tasks. Collaborating with other aviation professionals to ensure efficient and effective operations.Ā 

  • Adhering to all safety regulations and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

  • Candidate shall apply comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation, schematics and manufacturer's manuals. Mush be able to prioritize workload to meet day to day flight schedules and work with higher leadership when necessary.
  • Candidate shall possess excellent organizational skills and capable of prioritizing workload to meet aircraft delivery schedules.

Qualifications

  • Must have thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts, requires broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair.
  • Must have basic knowledge of electrical theory, must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and shears.
  • This job requires working knowledge of technical publications. The incumbent receives technical guidance, as required from supervisors and higher-level technicians, will occasionally be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records.
  • Certification in Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanics or related field.

  • Must have experience in aircraft sheet metal work to include composite repair. Ā 

  • Supervisory experience is a must.Ā  Able to conduct shift lead duties when required.

  • Must be able to prioritize workload to meet day to day flight schedules and work with higher leadership when necessary.
  • Must have a valid State driver's license.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Able to obtain and hold Secret Clearance.
  • Must have good leadership skills, to include strong written and verbal communication skills.
