Sherpa 6 is seeking a Project Coordinator at the Strategic level to provide senior-level strategic advisory, integration, governance, and modernization support to Army acquisition and capability development organizations. In practice, you'll be the trusted voice in the room where senior Government leaders need to make sense of a complex, fast-moving modernization portfolio — connecting priorities, programs, and people so decisions get made faster and stick.

The Project Coordinator serves as a lead planner, trusted advisor, and cross-departmental coordinator to Government leadership, enabling enterprise-wide synchronization across programs, organizations, modernization initiatives, and operational unit’s Commander priorities. The position aligns strategic priorities, capability development, portfolio management, and cross-functional integration to accelerate delivery of operational capabilities while supporting both Army and Army SOF transformation efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the principal planner and advisor to Government leadership on modernization, capability integration, governance, and organizational priorities.
  • Advise senior leaders on enterprise integration strategies across acquisition, capability development, and operational stakeholders.
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize cross-functional capability gaps and recommend courses of action.
  • Develop strategic plans, integration roadmaps, governance frameworks, executive decision processes, and implementation strategies.
  • Coordinate collaboration among Capability Program Executives (CPEs), Program Managers (PMs), Program Executive Offices (PEOs), DEVCOM, Future Capability Directorates (FCDs), Transformation & Integration Directorates (TIDs), Army Staff, Joint stakeholders, and mission partners.
  • Lead executive working groups, governance boards, technical exchanges, and senior leader forums.
  • Develop executive briefings, white papers, decision papers, reports, dashboards, and other decision-support products.
  • Translate operational, technical, and programmatic information into actionable recommendations.
  • Support portfolio planning, POM prioritization, modernization planning, and resource alignment.
  • Analyze organizational processes and recommend improvements that strengthen governance, transparency, and cross-functional execution.
  • Monitor strategic initiatives, risks, dependencies, milestones, and executive action items.
  • Support operational demonstrations, integration activities, and enterprise modernization initiatives as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Minimum 10 years supporting DoD or Army acquisition, modernization, systems integration, strategic operations, or capability development.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Army acquisition organizations, capability development, portfolio management, and modernization governance.
  • Experience supporting General Officers, SES, Program Executive Offices, or equivalent senior leadership.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to facilitate collaboration across technical, operational, and executive stakeholders.
  • U.S. Citizen with an active Secret security clearance.

Preferred Experience:

  • Master's degree in Strategic Studies, National Security, Systems Engineering, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related discipline.
  • Experience supporting PEO C3N, PEO IEW&S, PEO Digital, PM Mission Command, PM Tactical Network, DEVCOM, ASA(ALT), or Joint capability development organizations.
  • Knowledge of Project Polaris, Army Transformation initiatives, DOTMLPF-P integration, POM processes, CJCSM 5123.01, and capability-based modernization.
  • Experience developing governance frameworks, integration roadmaps, and executive dashboards.
  • Professional certifications such as DAWIA/Back-to-Basics, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or Prosci Change Management.
  • Active Top Secret clearance.
