Job description:


The Panel Assembler/Wireman is responsible for assembling and wiring panels and subassemblies.

The Panel Assembler/Wireman efforts actively support our mission of ensuring reliable, durable and safe operations for our customers by furnishing the highest quality industrial HVAC systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, control and power wiring diagrams, and parts’ list; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Install, move, and modify related equipment according to the job order specifications, standards, and procedures
  • Establish the best route for wiring with the least amount of material loss
  • Label and tag components according to the job order specifications
  • Completes assigned tasks within the allotted hours with minimum to no rework
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality forms
  • Operates forklift to transport supplies and equipment
  • And all other duties as assigned


Skills/Knowledge Required

  • 2 years minimum of Manufacturing experience
  • 1 year minimum of Electrical wiring experience - preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED - preferred
  • Able to operate forklift - preferred
  • Must be able to operate hand tools (e.g. screwdrivers, wire cutters, wire crimpers, and drills)
  • Must be able to calculate quantities of items, use calculator and/or computer.
  • Strong communications skills in order to maintain effective working relationships with employees, the public, and staff
  • Requires forward thinking, logical planning and ability to work productively in team environment.
  • Working Environment
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Personal Protective Equipment requirements for this position are safety glasses and steel-toed work boots.


Physical Requirements (Able to meet all of the below physical requires with or without reasonable accommodation)

  • Able to lift up to 20 pounds of force routinely. Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, grasp
  • Able to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms


Education:


  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
