Medical Assistant - Pediatric

A fast-paced Medical Center in Rockland County is looking to hire a part-time or full-time Medical Assistant for our pediatric department. The ideal candidate enjoys working with patients, has an upbeat personality, positive attitude, exceptional commitment to customer service, and is a good multi-tasker.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet patients and escort them to treatment rooms in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner
• Verify patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit
• Perform vitals: blood pressure, weight, temperature, and pulse and record in patient chart
• Secure patient information and maintain confidentiality by safeguarding medical records and accurately completing diagnostic and procedural coding
• Upkeep of inventory and cleanliness of the exam rooms

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous medical assistant experience required
• Strong computer skills and fluency in EMR systems
• Friendly personality that can connect with clients and staff
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to relate with sensitivity to a culturally diverse clientele
• Availability to work Sundays and some evenings, preferred
