Job Description:

Asset Manager – Performance Products Division

Huntsman is seeking an Asset Manager supporting the Performance Products Division located in The Woodlands, Texas. This position will report to the Director of Asset Management.

Job Scope

The Asset Manager will lead cross-functional coordination to optimize productivity, profitability, and long-term strategic performance of Huntsman’s Performance Products assets. This role is key in aligning manufacturing, commercial, and technical strategies to maximize asset value and deliver sustainable growth.

In summary, as the Asset Manager, you will:

  • Optimize the production portfolio to maximize profitability and rationalize low-value products.

  • Set regional volume allocations and determine optimal working capital levels.

  • Develop long-term (5–10 year) product roadmaps aligned with Performance Products strategy.

  • Support manufacturing optimization through quality standard setting and cost/flexibility improvement initiatives.

  • Drive commercial excellence by balancing base-load vs. swing volumes and identifying new revenue streams (e.g., swaps, tolling, co-production).

  • Lead cost optimization efforts, including third-party relationship strategy and raw material sourcing.

  • Oversee technical activities such as new product introductions, techno-economic analyses, and technology transfers.

  • Provide asset-based input into new product development and stage-gate decisions.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a chemical, technical, or business discipline.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial, marketing, or product management roles.

  • Demonstrated experience in asset management, product optimization, or manufacturing strategy.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of Amine technology and applications.

  • Proven commercial acumen with focus on profitability and cost management.

  • Strong customer intimacy and relationship-building skills.

  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.

  • High integrity and ability to handle confidential information.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage ambiguity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree.

  • Professional certification in asset management, operations, or product strategy.

  • Experience leading cross-regional product introductions or techno-economic evaluations.

Working Environment

  • Corporate office setting located in The Woodlands, Texas.

  • Collaboration with global cross-functional teams (Commercial, R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain).

  • Occasional travel may be required to manufacturing sites or regional offices.
