The Account Adjustment Specialist I is responsible for providing administrative and customer service support for deposit operations bookkeeping functions with a primary focus on researching and processing corrections to customer accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
路聽聽Answers high volume of phone calls and email requests from customers, branches and other financial institutions.
路聽聽Investigates and resolves a variety of adjustment errors such as check encoding errors, double posted checks or deposits, savings bond discrepancies, return item late claims, missing deposits, general posting errors, etc.
路聽聽Processes debit and credit transactions necessary for corrections and adjustments, including entries to customer accounts and internal general ledger accounts.
路聽聽Ensure that all cases are resolved and comply with industry regulations and bank procedures
路聽聽Continuously works towards becoming cross trained on all department tasks.
Competencies Required
路聽聽Proficiency with 10 key by touch and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Access), and the ability to quickly learn and navigate banking software applications and systems.
路聽聽Excellent organizational and data entry skills, with the ability to multi-task, maintain accuracy, and met deadlines in a fast paced, high volume environment.
路聽聽Good written and verbal communications skills.
路聽聽Customer service orientation with effective problem solving abilities and strong analytical skills.
路聽聽Self-starter possessing the ability to work independently while supporting a team environment.
路聽聽Ability to follow directions and apply proper policies, procedures and guidelines.
路聽聽Ability to work flexible hours; demonstrated good attendance and punctuality.
路聽聽Strong attention to detail and high concern for data accuracy.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience
路聽聽1-3 years banking or financial services operations experience.
路聽聽Bookkeeping or deposit operations experience preferred.
Formal Education & Certification
路聽聽High School Diploma or equivalent required.
