At SPL, we turn science into impact. We are seeking a detail-oriented and service-driven Client Services Specialist II to join our Client Services team in Reading, PA. In this role, you will serve as a key liaison between clients and internal teams, helping ensure projects are set up accurately, communications are clear, and deliverables are completed on time and in compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.


We’re searching for an enthusiastic Client Services Specialist II to join our environmental laboratory team in Conroe, TX.


The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, proven experience supporting client services or laboratory operations, and a commitment to delivering accurate, responsive, and high-quality service within a fast-paced environmental laboratory environment. 



What You’ll Do

  • Maintain client accounts and project information in LIMS and related systems
  • Prepare quotations and pricing requests for existing clients
  • Coordinate new client accounts and projects with laboratory, field, and sample receiving teams
  • Review work orders to ensure accurate setup and billing in LIMS
  • Respond to client inquiries, service requests, and data questions professionally and promptly
  • Communicate updates and resolve issues between clients and internal teams
  • Upload subcontract laboratory results into LIMS and assist with subcontract coordination
  • Maintain familiarity with laboratory services, regulatory requirements, and client expectations
  • Answer phones, assist walk-in clients, accept samples, and support sample login as needed
  • Provide backup support during staff absences or high-volume periods
  • Assist with bottle preparation and sample-handling tasks when needed
  • Ensure client regulatory requirements and documentation standards are met
  • Deliver reports, invoices, and data files within required turnaround times
  • Notify clients promptly of results exceeding regulatory limits in accordance with company procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of customer service or administrative support experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with laboratory operations or environmental testing services is a plus

Work Schedule

  • Full-time, onsite position following Monday - Friday schedule
  • Ability to work evenings or weekends as needed to meet client or workload demands
