Six Flags Splashtown is looking for a skilled EMT (varying levels) to join our Safety department. This position is responsible for providing first aid and emergency medical care, as well as promoting safety awareness throughout the park. . Â
Pay: $17.50/Hr
Responsibilities:
- Perform other duties as assigned, needed, or requiredÂ
- Recognize the need for special or additional assistance including basic life support, advanced life support, and other emergency servicesÂ
- Act in the best interest of the patient Â
- Information gathering, reporting, and documentationÂ
- Inspection, inventory, maintenance and cleaning of grounds, facilities, work areas supplies and equipmentÂ
- Understand and perform appropriately under the emergency response plan including disaster and multiple casualty incidentsÂ
- Infection control, biohazardous material identification, clean up and disposalÂ
- Understand, support, and follow standard operating procedures and patient care protocolsÂ
- Administrative duties may include filing, distribution, computer operations, and data entryÂ
- Telecommunications, radio communications and dispatch of resourceÂ
- Safety audits within the park as instructed by Public Safety Manager
- Perform other duties as assigned, needed, or requiredÂ
Reports to: Safety Sr. Supervisor and Public Safety ManagerÂ
Qualifications:
- 18 years or olderÂ
- Must possess and maintain valid EMT- B, I/A, or P certification in Texas, CPR certification, and a valid driver’s license Â
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsÂ
- Has obtained high school diploma or equivalentÂ
- Will be required to work various shifts as project and park needs dictate, including nights, weekends and holidaysÂ
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Â
- Computer literacy, strong knowledge of all Microsoft applications Â
- Must have the ability to stand, walk, crouch, bend, stoop, balance, kneel and lift up to 40- pounds occasionallyÂ
