Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Controls Specialist with experience in Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) to support planning, scheduling, cost control, and progress tracking for industrial projects. This role plays a critical part in ensuring E&I scopes are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining visibility into project performance.

- Develop and maintain project schedules for E&I scope using scheduling softwareÂ
- Track and analyze project progress, productivity, and performance metricsÂ
- Monitor costs, budgets, forecasts, and earned value for E&I activitiesÂ
- Prepare regular reports on schedule status, cost variance, and risk analysisÂ
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure alignmentÂ
- Support change management processes, including change orders and impact analysisÂ
- Identify schedule risks and develop mitigation and recovery plansÂ
- Assist with resource planning, including labor, materials, and equipment forecastingÂ
- Validate field progress and ensure accurate reporting of installed quantitiesÂ
- Support project closeout, including documentation and final cost reportingÂ
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in project controls, planning, or cost control in industrial or construction projectsÂ
- Experience supporting Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) scopesÂ
- Proficiency in scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft ProjectÂ
- Strong understanding of cost control, budgeting, and earned value management (EVM)Â
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schedules, and project documentationÂ
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and reporting toolsÂ
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsÂ
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related fieldÂ
- Experience in Oil & Gas, LNG, Power Generation, Chemical, Data Centers and Renewables.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP)Â
- PMI-SP, PMP, or AACE certifications (e.g., CCP, PSP)Â
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time position, Monday – Friday
- Position based out of The Woodlands, TX office.Â
- Availability for overtime.Â
