Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated assistant teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children between the ages of infancy and 6 years old.

Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that foster learning and growth in young children.
  • Provide individualized support to children, including those with special needs, ensuring an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Manage classroom activities and maintain a positive atmosphere conducive to learning.
  • Engage with children through play-based learning, encouraging exploration and creativity.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive educational experience for all students.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that meets health and safety standards.
Qualifications

  • Assiociate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; relevant experience will be considered
  • Experience working with children in a toddler or childcare setting is essential.
  • Knowledge of special education practices and strategies for working with children with disabilities is a plus.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging learning environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with children, parents, and staff.
  • Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for educating young children.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred but not mandatory.
