Position Overview:

Seeking an individual contributor with a blend of financial accounting, general business process knowledge and technology expertise to help modernize the Tyson Foods control environment. This role will assist in leading the transition from traditional, manual controls to risk-focused, technology-enabled controls through automation, continuous monitoring, and data-driven analytics—leveraging existing systems and tools to strengthen compliance, improve efficiency, and enhance control evidence and reliability to support the company’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Work directly with the Director of Controls and Processes to assist and collaborate in the following:

  • Reconstruct business process controls to maximize reliance on configuration-based automations and reduce dependency on error prone‑ manual activities
  • Implement tools such as robotic process automation (RPA), artificial intelligence stack (AI), and predictive analytics models to modernize, strengthen and streamline control processes
  • Champion adoption of continuous, data‑driven monitoring to proactively identify anomalies and emerging risks
  • Partner with IT and business teams to ensure controls compliance around data completeness, accuracy and governance for all SOX relevant data sources and reporting
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Finance, IT, and Operations, to assess control design of new initiatives, systems, and/or process changes (e.g. Clarity projects)
  • Assist in SAP GRC Segregation of Duties (SOD) analysis, maintenance and mitigation reviews

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field required. Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s, MBA) and/or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CISA) strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial accounting, data analytics, audit, IT compliance or comparable experience
  • Experience with automation and analytics technologies (e.g., RPA tools, python, PowerBI, Palantir, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), agentic AI, PowerAutomate, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at various levels
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • High ethical standards, integrity, and a commitment to upholding the company's values
  • Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance requirements, SAP and strong accounting knowledge of US GAAP strongly preferred
