Job Description

Tyson Foods, Inc. has multiple openings for Senior IT Data Engineers in Springdale, AR. Play an important role throughout the systems development lifecycle across each phase of a project. Lead the design and orchestration of complex data pipelines and ETL processes, focusing on optimizing data models. Architect scalable data solutions, including data warehousing and big data technologies, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Implement advanced data governance frameworks and ensure robust data security measures. Optimize cloud costs by strategically using cloud resources and efficient data architectures. Lead the development of data visualization strategies, ensuring they contribute to data-driven decision-making at a strategic level. Design and deploy enterprise-scale data visualization solutions, optimizing performance within tools. Oversee complex data pipeline orchestration and ensure seamless integration across systems. Interact with 3rd party vendors to incorporate new functionality and evaluate tools. Resolve complex escalations and situations, driving effective resolutions. Ensure adherence to data privacy and security practices to protect sensitive information. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand and address their needs through data visualization. Develop functional design specifications to provide necessary details for customized software development documents.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field, and 4 years of experience in enterprise data modeling solutions.

Must have work experience in:

  • Data transformation tool frameworks that include SQL and Python;
  • Cloud-based Business Intelligence Enterprise Systems including SAP HANA or Google BigQuery;
  • Relational database platforms SAP HANA or Google BigQuery and techniques to make them perform and scale for analytical solutions;
  • Agile methodologies including continuous integration, automated testing and continuous deployment and how these practices can be pursued within the context of an analytics solution;
  • Data modeling and how different modeling disciplines lend themselves to analytical solutions;
  • Working within the Agile methodology and on-shore and off-shore models; and
  • Bigdata and Data warehousing practices.
