We are seeking an experienced Utility Foreman to manage and lead a crew of construction workers on our projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership and hands-on experience in utility installation and maintenance. This role requires strong organizational skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a crew of construction workers, including scheduling, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress
  • Oversee installation, repair, and maintenance of underground utilities (water, sewer, storm, etc.)
  • Ensure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest level of quality
  • Ensure that all crew members comply with relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards
  • Communicate regularly with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that work is completed on schedule and within budget
  • Manage project resources, including materials and equipment, to ensure that they are used efficiently and effectively
  • Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction projects
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in utility construction, with experience in a leadership role
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or vocational training preferred
  • Strong knowledge of underground utility installation and related equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze project data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Experience with government contracts and compliance is a plus
