Description

Position Summary:  

The person that fills this role will have proficient knowledge of the bank’s internal and correspondent accounts and be able to reconcile such accounts so that outstanding items are taken care of in a timely manner. This person will also assist customers with account research questions on a regular basis. The employee must be a self-starter, customer service oriented and willing to work with others in a fast-paced environment.


Major Duties and Accountabilities:

  • Takes part in and embraces the Legacy Culture by giving outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Reconcile any/all internal or Due From Bank accounts and GL account which may be assigned. These duties may include monitoring adjustments and correspondence to other areas.
  • Reconcile all ATM/ITM accounts which may be assigned. These duties may include monitoring adjustments and correspondence to other areas.
  • Resolve daily EIM issues for NSF, Nonpost, Stop Payment and Chargebacks. Monitor these accounts to ensure processing is complete each day.
  • Maintain any deposit account issues as they arise with CDS, Savings, and Checking or customer information within the system and provide team support for other areas.
  • Initiate and/or work any received Due From Bank or Federal Reserve Bank check adjustments
  • Maintain Unclaimed Property files. Proactively correspond with accountholders prior to completion of UP reports and submit results for each state identified.
  • All other duties as assigned.  


Requirements

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 
  • Minimum of 4 years banking, accounting or finance experience OR bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.  


Preferred:

  • Previous reconciliation experience.  
  • Previous Deposit Operations experience.
