What is the B2B Integration Team?

This team is primarily responsible for B2B/EDI integration across Tyson’s applications and with our business partners (customers, vendors, and s). The team collaborates with every area within IT. How can I be part of Tyson Technology?

Tyson Foods is seeking a Lead EDI Engineer to support our B2B Integrations platform. The ideal candidate is a creative, demonstrated leader with superior technical abilities. This opportunity requires excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Key focus areas will be leading technical activities for our B2B/EDI initiatives, while working on development, support, and enhancement activities. Looking for someone with a technological mindset with high initiative and integrity who excels in excellent customer service.

Do you have the technical qualifications?

  • Required Skills:
    • 8+ years of hands‑on experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (SI), including map development, business process modeling, trading partner setup, and troubleshooting.
    • Skilled in managing relationships with both internal stakeholders (executive leadership, cross-functional teams) and external customers (clients, partners, vendors).
    • Strong proficiency with EDI ANSI X12 and EDIFACT standards, including transaction sets, schemas, and partner compliance requirements.
    • Deep understanding of communication protocols such as FTP/SFTP, AS2, HTTP/S, and certificate‑based authentication.
    • Expertise in Business Process (BP) development, debugging, and EDI map creation.
    • Proficiency with Direct EDI, EDI via VAN, and Web EDI methodologies.
    • Strong experience with SQL for data analysis, lookups, error investigation, and reporting. 
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Experience as part of a production support team managing an enterprise‑scale EDI platform, including investigation and resolution of EDI‑related issues in coordination with internal teams and external trading partners.
    • Strong knowledge of the EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) Incident Management Life Cycle, including detection, logging, categorization, prioritization, investigation, resolution, and closure.
    • Experience coordinating and executing security certificate updates, SSL/TLS configurations, and key management.
    • Experience with Sterling Integrator administration, including deployments, patching, performance tuning, and system monitoring.
    • Familiarity with Sterling File Gateway (SFG), Sterling Secure Proxy (SSP), and Sterling Control Center (SCC).
    • Experience with Lightwell frameworks or Pragma Community Manager for partner onboarding and governance.
    • Experience working on migration or upgrade initiatives.
