Job Description Summary

The Make Ready Assistant provides support and is accountable for delivering on our commitments to our residents. The Make Ready Assistant helps in maintaining the community and assists others in the completion of Market-Ready apartments, exterior maintenance, and common areas of the property.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:Ā 

  • AssistĀ in preparation of the market-ready apartments, which may include, but is not limited to, painting, carpet cleaning, general repairs, drywall repairs, both vinyl and ceramic tile replacement.Ā 

  • AssistĀ the staff in various projects as needed, including, but not limited to, the disposal of trash, debris, and snow (of applicable).Ā 

  • Performs various functions such as exterior light bulb replacement,Ā groundsĀ equipment maintenance and repair, installation and removal of external signage and decorations.Ā 

  • Maintains grounds, pools/ hot tubs,Ā common areas, and dog park amenities to keep them clean, operational, and safe for our residents.Ā 

  • Reports any maintenance concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor.Ā 

  • Attends andĀ participatesĀ in all training programs as required by Cushman and Wakefield.Ā 

  • Delivers various communications to residents as needed.Ā 

  • Delivers superior customer service andĀ representsĀ the Cushman and Wakefield brand in a professional manner at all times.Ā 

  • Dresses per Cushman and Wakefield uniform and professional appearance standards.Ā 

  • Maintains all safety procedures andĀ safeguardsĀ all company tools and equipment.Ā 

  • Perform any other related duties asĀ requiredĀ or assigned.Ā 

COMPETENCIES:Ā Ā 

  • Valid Driver’s LicenseĀ 

  • EPA 608 -Minimum Type 11, preferredĀ 

  • Knowledge of Hand toolsĀ 

  • Professional and courteousĀ 

  • Able to take direction and follow instructionsĀ 

  • Be able to handle all emergencies and work late, come in earlyĀ 

  • Practice all safety protocols and protocolsĀ 

  • Be a team player and lead by exampleĀ 

IMPORTANT EDUCATIONĀ Ā 

  • High School Diploma,Ā GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational schoolĀ 

IMPORTANT EXPERIENCEĀ Ā 

  • Some experience in related fieldĀ 

WORK ENVIRONMENTĀ 

This jobĀ operatesĀ in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filingĀ cabinetsĀ and fax machines. Regularly required to travel outside between properties in varying weather conditions.Ā 

PHYSICAL DEMANDSĀ 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may need to stand and walk for extended or continuous periods of time. They must be able to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools and may beĀ requiredĀ to travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions.Ā The employee may also be regularlyĀ requiredĀ to remain in a stationary position (sit or stand) for 85% of the time;Ā regularlyĀ operateĀ office machinery.Ā The employee mustĀ be able to travel up toĀ 5 %Ā of the time. Travel may vary in frequency and duration.Ā The employee mustĀ demonstrateĀ the ability to exert up to 25 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 25 poundsĀ frequently, and/or up to 25 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.Ā

The compensation for the position is: $17.00 - $20.00
