About the Role:
Reposition & Recovery Services in Cincinnati, OH is looking for a passionate and dedicated Qualified Mental Health Specialist (QMHS) to join our growing team. Our S.A.F.E. Place Day Treatment Program is designed for youth ages 5–13, both boys and girls, whose lives have been impacted by substance abuse, addiction, and a variety of mental and behavioral health challenges. Services are comprehensive yet personalized to each youth's unique needs, and the program runs Monday through Friday.

We're looking for a Qualified Mental Health Specialist (QMHS) to join us as a Group Facilitator, providing Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) with minimal Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment (CPST) delivering specific, measurable, and individualized services to each young person in our care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct mental health support services to individuals in accordance with individualized treatment plans
  • Assist clients in developing coping skills, life skills, and strategies for community integration
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including case managers, therapists, and psychiatrists
  • Document client progress, service delivery, and behavioral observations accurately and in a timely manner for every shift, following agency documentation guidelines
  • Support mealtime and help check in on youth with medical needs
  • Communicate with parents and guardians, providing updates and answering questions about the program
  • Occasionally serve as a substitute bus monitor after group sessions to supervise youth, modeling appropriate interactions and helping youth work through problems as they arise to help ensure safely
  • Help maintain a clean, safe facility in line with Ohio Department of Health and agency safety standards
  • Follow the program schedule and participate in staff meetings and training
  • Support crisis intervention and de-escalation efforts as needed
  • Facilitate psychoeducation groups or skill-building activities for clients
  • Maintain compliance with all state, agency, and HIPAA regulations
Requirements:
  • Must meet Ohio QMHS qualifications (bachelor's degree in a behavioral health-related field) or 1-3 years of equivalent experience working in mental health, behavioral health or human services
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care and recovery-oriented practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, and general computer proficiency
  • Comfortable following a structured curriculum and completing timely documentation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative care team
  • Compassionate, patient, and committed to client-centered care
