SUMMARY:

The responsibility of this position is to direct and manage accounting functions and systems established to provide Tyson Fresh Meats TFM management timely and accurate information for the Case Ready Business Unit. It will supervise the 4 case ready location teams and provide cross-functional partnership to the BU. Other duties include: 

  • Preparing the Division P&L for the Case Ready BU, Contribution Margin management, and VCM reporting
  • Preparing customer analysis and business analysis
  • Preparing and conducting business reviews and Ops summit information
  • Preparing analysis for network optimization proposals and mix analysis
  • Preparing quarterly projections including Anaplan responsibilities and budgets
  • Prepare/Review Month/Quarter/Year End activities
  • Drive financial transformation and system implementation

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelors degree of Accounting or related degree equivalent in an academic field directly related and essential to the job being evaluated.

Experience: 8 plus years accounting supervisory experience; Beef and or Pork cost accounting experience.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills; Microsoft office; efficient in DBII database query system preferred.

Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate well with offsite facility management and team, as well as cross-functionally to support senior leadership. 

Special Skills: Knowledge of sources and uses of information in analysis and decision making; problem solving in the process of product costing pricing models; detailed knowledge of all business cycles systems and processes that impact sales and production.

Supervisory: Supervision of four offsite Controllers.

Travel: As needed to support locations, roughly 20-25%.
