A well-established, highly profitable commercial real estate company in Springdale is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join their team. This is a high-impact, visible role within a growing organization that values initiative, collaboration, and operational excellence.

You won’t just “keep the books.” You’ll play a key role in supporting leadership, strengthening processes, and ensuring financial accuracy across a dynamic real estate portfolio.

What You’ll Do

• Manage full-cycle accounting for commercial real estate properties
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger (accrual basis for CRE entities)
• Handle transactions, reporting, and financial statement preparation
• Enter and manage leases in Yardi
• Review financials provided to banks (significant loan activity exposure)
• Liaise directly with the external CPA firm on tax matters and financial reviews
• Assist leadership with budgeting and financial analysis (no formal budgeting process currently in place — you’ll help build it)
• Support transition of accounting responsibilities from long-time family oversight
• Potential exposure to straightforward personal financials (QuickBooks, cash basis)
• Cross-train across accounting functions to build depth and continuity within the department

Required:

• 3+ years of property accounting experience (commercial real estate required)
• Strong proficiency in Yardi and QuickBooks
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Experience working within a small to mid-sized company
• Comfortable participating in meetings and financial discussions (not a back-office-only role)
• Ability to hit the ground running and operate independently

Preferred:

• Experience implementing or optimizing Yardi features
• Led or supported a Yardi conversion or process streamlining initiative
