The selected candidate will sit at Tyson on Thompson.

The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for partnering with the Talent Acquisition Managers to develop and implement talent strategies, lead TA-related continuous improvement projects, develop reporting and provide recommendations, lead project sourcing teams, as act a second point of contact to the Manager. This role requires strong project management skills, the ability to manage short-term teams, and the capability to provide training and mentoring to team members. The Senior Specialist will work closely with the TA Manager and various departments to ensure that the organization attracts and retains top talent, aligning recruitment strategies with business goals.  
  
Responsibilities:  

Talent Strategy Development:   

  • Create proactive search strategies and work with a team of recruiters to develop a diversified talent network to map target prospects that will meet current and future skill needs  

  • Collaboratively work with TA Manager, Strategic HR Partners and HR COE’s to understand future business needs and the skills needed for future growth   

  • Have a deep understanding of talent and labor market trends and insights   

  • Work closely with HR Partners, hiring managers and department heads to understand their staffing needs and provide recruitment support.  

  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a smooth recruitment process.   

  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices.  

Project Management:   

  • Lead and manage recruitment projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and successful delivery. Serve as a communication liaison across TA for key project and system updates.   

  • Develop project plans, set timelines, and monitor progress to meet recruitment goals.  

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, leading testing and implement changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the recruitment process.  

Team Management and Mentorship:   

  • Supervise team sprints on continuous improvement projects and sourcing initiatives, providing guidance and support to ensure effective performance.  

  • Provide training and mentoring to team members to enhance their recruitment skills and knowledge.  

  • Develop and deliver training programs on best practices in talent acquisition and recruitment processes.  

Performance Metrics and Reporting:   

  • Track and analyze recruitment metrics to measure the effectiveness of talent acquisition strategies.  

  • Prepare and present regular reports on recruitment activities, progress, and outcomes to TA Leadership.  

Employer Branding:   

  • Contribute to the development and promotion of the company's employer brand to attract top talent.  

  • Participate in job fairs, career events, and other networking opportunities to enhance the company's visibility as needed.  

  

Requirements:   

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Bachelor’s in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or Business Administration preferred.    

  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive recruiting and/or search firm recruiting experience required OR 3+ years of recruiting experience with 2+ prior leadership and/or data analytics experience.   

  • Computer skills: Strong computer skills, applicant tracking system experience, strong sourcing capabilities. Workday, LinkedIn, and Indeed experience preferred.  

  • Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  

  • Travel: 1-5 trips
