SUMMARY:

The Senior Controller is responsible for leading all accounting, financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal control activities for Tyson Foods' Foodservice Value Added business. This role provides strategic financial leadership to support operational excellence, profitability improvement, and business growth by delivering timely, accurate, and actionable financial information to plant, business unit, and corporate leadership.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor s degree of Accounting or related degree equivalent in an academic field directly related and essential to the job being evaluated.

Experience: 8 years accounting supervisory experience. Experience in cost accounting, inventory management, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Food manufacturing, protein, prepared foods, or value-added production experience strongly preferred.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills; Microsoft office; Experience with SAP, Power BI, financial reporting systems, and business intelligence tools.

Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills; Ability to communicate financial concepts effectively to both financial and operational leadership. Proven ability to influence decisions and build strong cross-functional partnerships.

Special Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Deep understanding of manufacturing operations, cost accounting, inventory processes, and operational finance.  Ability to identify key business drivers and translate complex financial information into actionable recommendations. Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.

Supervisory Responsibility: Direct supervision with plant accounting staff.

Travel: As needed.
