  • Collaborate on budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic planning and sustained revenue growth.Ā 

  • Champion Cox Media’s advertising solutions by educating clients on how data-driven strategies can elevate their brand and deliver measurable outcomes.Ā 

  • Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding clients inĀ leveragingĀ digital and cross-platform campaigns to build brand awareness, generate qualified leads, and achieve business goals.Ā

  • You’llĀ develop and build anĀ expansiveĀ book of business, combining strategic prospecting—including cold calling, door-to-door outreach, and lead generation—with consultative account management to deliver results.Ā 

  • Collaborate with internal teams—including creative, research, andĀ digital,Ā to deliver seamless campaign execution,Ā optimizeĀ performance, and ensure client satisfaction.Ā 

  • MaintainĀ accurateĀ records of sales activities and client communications in CRM systems.Ā

  • Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, competitor activities and represent Cox Media in the local community to generate leads.Ā

What You BringĀ

Skills and Requirements:Ā

Minimum QualificationsĀ 

  • 6 years’ experience in a related field in lieuĀ of a degree.Ā The rightĀ candidateĀ could also have a different combination, such asĀ bachelor’sĀ degree and 2 years’ experience in a related fieldĀ or;Ā aĀ master’s degree and up to 2 years’ experience.Ā 

  • Proven success in sales/business development:Ā identifyingĀ new opportunities, building client relationships, and exceeding sales goals.Ā 

  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to close deals and foster long-term partnerships.Ā 

  • Ability to use data in the development and sale of a media strategy.Ā 

  • Skilled at presenting complex solutions in a simple, easy-to-understand manner.Ā 

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment whileĀ maintainingĀ high levelsĀ of client relationships and business excellence.Ā 

  • A valid driver’s license,Ā good drivingĀ recordĀ and reliable transportation.Ā

Preferred QualificationsĀ 

  • ExpertĀ in prospecting new business and nurturing existing client relationships through consultative selling and deep digital marketingĀ expertiseĀ to deliver impactful, customized solutions.Ā 

  • Demonstrated success in developing strategic advertising solutions informed by a deep understanding of the evolving digital and media landscape.Ā 

  • Proven experience selling multi-platform digital advertising and media solutions, with a strong ability to adoptĀ new technologiesĀ and approaches in a fast-changing environment.Ā 

  • Industry certifications and/or Google Ads certification (formerly AdWords).Ā 

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment whileĀ maintainingĀ strong client relationships and delivering business excellence.Ā 

  • Comfort with hybrid work (3 in-office collaboration days per week).Ā
