Clinical Improvement Quality Specialist I

General Summary

Performs a variety of duties including, but not limited to, planning, coordination, consultation, design and collaboration related to the reporting and/or abstraction, quality assessment and analysis of data from sources such as health care information databases and systems including, but not limited to, the electronic health record (EHR) Quantros, GWTG Registries, PHC4 Web, Premier, Metrics Dashboard and publicly reported data and related websites. Develops queries of computer databases to measure performance. Works collaboratively with the Hospital leadership, Service Lines, and regional colleagues in continuous quality improvement for excellent patient care. Validates all reportable data results through qualitative and quantitative analyses to confirm findings accuracy. Presents data in appropriate formats. Prepares and organizes information for meetings and audit visits and assists in coordination of deliverables. Meets all regulatory required data entry and filing deadlines. Participates in development and implementation of quality assessment indicators.
