Currently seeking York, PA based dietary workers to fill a full time position at Senior LIFE.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the Kitchen Assistant

As part of this exciting expansion, Senior LIFE seeks a hardworking, dedicated and compassionate Member Assistant who, in conjunction with the Kitchen Manager, will prepare meals and assist members with eating and cleanup. As a core member of the kitchen staff, the Member Assistant will have many important responsibilities including:

  • Assisting in meal preparation and service
  • Setting tables, setting up and serving trays, and pouring beverages
  • Assisting during meal times, as needed, and visiting members in dining areas
  • Cleaning up dining, dietary and day rooms before and after meal services
  • Ensuring safe, responsible use of food preparation and service equipment, plus storage after use
  • Sanitizing work spaces following meal preparation

Qualifications

Requirements of the Kitchen Assistant

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must have one year's experience working specifically in a healthcare facility
