Job Summary:
The Treasury Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the organization’s day-to-day treasury operations, including daily cash posting and monthly bank reconciliations. This role manages a team of treasury professionals and ensures accurate, timely, and compliant cash activity, reconciliations, and reporting. The Treasury Manager partners closely with accounting and finance leadership to support liquidity management, internal controls, and financial integrity.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide direct leadership, coaching, and oversight to a team of multiple treasury staff responsible for daily cash posting and monthly bank reconciliations.
Oversee daily cash posting activities to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
Manage and review monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring timely completion, proper documentation, and resolution of reconciling items.
Establish, maintain, and improve treasury processes, workflows, and internal controls to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
Initiate and approve ACH and cash transfer transactions in accordance with established authorization limits and dual-control requirements.
Review and validate supporting documentation for ACH and cash transfer requests prior to initiation.
Monitor team performance, set goals, provide feedback, and support professional development of treasury staff.
Collaborate with accounting, finance, and operational teams to ensure accurate cash reporting and alignment with the general ledger.
Support cash flow visibility and liquidity reporting by providing accurate cash activity data to finance leadership.
Oversee banking relationships as they relate to cash posting, reconciliations, and transaction processing.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, audit requirements, and applicable regulations related to cash management and reconciliations.
Prepare and present treasury-related reports and metrics to leadership, including reconciliation status, aging items, and operational risks.
Assist with audits by providing documentation and support related to cash and bank reconciliations.
Participate in the development and maintenance of treasury policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong understanding of cash management, bank reconciliations, and treasury operations.
In-depth knowledge of ACH processing, cash transfers, and electronic payment controls.
Strong understanding of segregation of duties and internal control frameworks related to treasury operations.
Proven leadership skills, including coaching, performance management, and team development.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.
Experience with ERP systems and banking platforms.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Ability to drive process improvement and enforce internal controls.
Experience and Education Qualifications:
Six years of relevant experience in treasury, accounting, or cash management required.
Minimum of two years of experience leading or supervising staff required.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
MBA or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CTP, CMA) preferred.
Supervisory Requirements:
Direct supervision of multiple treasury team members.
Employment Requirements:
Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect.
Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.
All training requirements including Relias at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter.
Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record and current auto insurance.
