Job Description:
Pathologists' Assistant is a highly trained certified allied health professional who provides various pathology services under the direction and supervision of a pathologist. Pathology services may include the preparation, gross description, examination and dissection of human tissue from surgical or autopsy specimens.Education: â–ª Required: Bachelor's Degree in a Science related field Experience: â–ª Required: 2 years anatomic pathology tissue preparation â–ª Preferred: Completion of an NAACLS approved Pathologist's Assistant Program Skills: â–ª Strong mental and visual concentration. â–ª Good hand/eye coordination. â–ª Strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on communication. â–ª Strong analytical/problem solving skills. â–ª Ability to communicate effectively with different levels of management. Demonstrates clear verbal and written communication. â–ª Excellent time management, interpersonal, presentation, organization, prioritizing, decision-making, and planning skills.
