Pay Rate: Range $1800 to $1872 weekly Gross pay based on a 36 hour work week (Includes non-taxable travel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers)
Unit:Â Inpatient mental health or behavioral health unit/s
Shifts available: Nights
Schedule: 36 hours/week guaranteed, 3 X 12-hr shifts per week, EOW rotation and holidays as neededÂ
Position Requirements:
- Registered Nurse: 1+ years - Required
- Recent/Current Inpatient Psychiatric Nursing or Behavioral health: 1+ year – Required
- Must be comfortable with all patient ages (Adult, Adolescent and Child) - Requied
- Must be comfortable with paper chartingÂ
Education, License and Certification Requirements:
- ASN or an equivalent – Required
- BSN or an equivalent – Highly preferred
- RN License for State applying or Compact if accpeted in the state Required
- BLS Certification from AHA or American Red Cross - Required
- CPI or HWC Certification - Preferred
Job Description:
- Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs in the assigned units (Adult, Adolescent, Child)
- Develop and implement nursing care plans.
- The RN will maintain medical records and educate patients and their families about various physical and behavioral health conditions.
- The RN will provide nursing care and services within the standards and scope of nursing practice as defined within the state Nurse Practice Act regulations, policies, procedures, and protocols, as well as facility and corporate policies and procedures.
- Ensure physicians’ orders are legible if taken verbally and transcribed appropriately per policy and procedure.
- Ensure patients’ status is assessed on an ongoing basis and pertinent information is gathered and documented.
- Notify physicians of significant changes in status
- The RN will ensure that initial nursing treatment plans are completed upon admission and that all nursing treatment plans are specific to assessed needs.
- Comfortable with paper chartingÂ
