- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, CANVAS, and the use of instructional technology to teach traditional, hybrid or online courses as needed and serve as a resource for faculty using these tools.
- Enthusiastic, committed teacher-scholar with demonstrated excellence in teaching and scholarship.
- Teach required course load each semester (up to 15 credits per semester).
- Advise up to 15-20 students.
- Scholarship work in area of teaching responsibility/clinical expertise.
- Collaborate with Academic Fieldwork Coordinator to find/supervise Level I Fieldwork experiences.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based practice in area of clinical expertise.
- Participate in departmental committees and required activities (e.g. academic awards night; commencement; pinning ceremony; weekend admissions events).
- Participate in college committees as assigned.
- Collaboration with the Program Director on assigned duties involved in maintaining college accreditation (NECHE) and specialized program accreditation (ACOTE).
- Maintenance of professional and specialized clinical credentials.
- Attendance at all required college events (i.e. admissions open houses; academic awards night; graduation).
- Attendance at all required school & departmental events (i.e. SHS and departmental faculty meetings).
- Other duties as assigned.
- MSOT degree required; Doctorate in OT (OTD or PhD) or related field preferred.
- Demonstrated clinical experience across the lifespan with experience in neurology preferred.
- At least 3 years of professional practice experience as an OT in area of teaching responsibilities (pediatrics and or neurology).
- Licensed or eligible to be licensed as an OT in the State of Massachusetts.
