Description
The Diagnostic Imaging Assistant will:
- Transport patients utilizing safe and efficient transportation methods.
- Provide the necessary care, safety, and monitoring of patients during transport and waiting periods in the department.
- Maintain equipment in proper working order reporting malfunctions immediately to appropriate personnel.
- Keep adequate supplies on hand.
- Provide overall support to the Diagnostic Imaging department in adherence to practice standards and requirements.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Recent patient care experience (preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment and collaborate with patients, healthcare workers, and providers
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, or the ability to quickly learn and effectively use EHR software
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail
Salary Range: The base rate for this position is $19.00 - $22.00 per hour. The hourly range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the position. The rate for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
