JOB OVERVIEW

The Digital Producer creates, publishes, and promotes NEPM’s locally produced content across web and social platforms, supporting the organization’s multi‑platform mission to reach audiences wherever they are. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, with strong audio and video production experience and a solid understanding of social media best practices.

This is a full‑time, grant‑funded role anticipated to last one year, with potential extension based on performance and future funding. The position is on‑site and requires regular travel throughout Western Massachusetts. Reliable transportation is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce short‑form social videos, by filming, interviewing, and capturing A-roll and B‑roll on location.

  • Edit video content using Adobe Premiere and Canva, adhering to production style guidelines.

  • Conduct community interviews and build relationships within Western Massachusetts’ Latino community.

  • Travel regularly throughout Western Massachusetts for shoots and community engagement.

  • Collaborate effectively with the Executive Editor of the News Department on content themes, story development, and shot lists.

  • Support and work alongside a grant‑funded intern as part of the project.

SKILL SET

  • Ability to confidently operate video recording equipment in field environments.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and community engagement skills.

  • Spanish fluency required; must be able to understand and edit Spanish‑language dialogue.

  • Experience in community‑based media, digital content creation, podcasting, or related fields.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in media arts, journalism, communications, or related field or equivalent work experience required.

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience working in collaborative, team‑based environments.

JOB SPECIFICS

  • Reliable transportation is required. This is a hybrid role involving 20-25% travel, plus onsite meetings.

  • Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends as required to support events and business needs. ​
  • This role is a grant funded role expected to last for one year.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.

$46200 - $61000

Compensation offered within this range is determined by skills, experience and internal pay equity.
