The Finished Goods Handler is responsible for physically preparing completed rolls of material for storage, shipment, and delivery. This position ensures finished goods are properly wrapped, labeled, palletized, and staged according to company quality and shipping standards.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Wrap, label, band, and palletize finished products according to established procedures.
  • Inspect finished goods for quality, accuracy, and proper packaging prior to shipment.
  • Stage and organize products for storage or outbound transportation.
  • Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, as required.
  • Maintain accurate inventory transactions and product identification.
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks while ensuring product integrity.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping requirements.
  • Communicate with production, warehouse, and shipping personnel to support efficient operations.

 

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, and climb as required to perform job duties.
  • Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance or mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements associated with packaging, labeling, and handling materials.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, dust, and moving equipment.
  • Maintain visual acuity sufficient to inspect product quality, read labels, and verify shipping information.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, or packaging experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification or the ability to become certified preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
