Position Summary

The Front Desk Receptionist/Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and community partners. This role is responsible for delivering professional, culturally responsive, and efficient front office support while ensuring confidentiality, accurate recordkeeping, and a welcoming environment aligned with NNCC’s mission and values.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist clients, visitors, and vendors in a professional and culturally respectful manner 
  • Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls; respond to general inquiries 
  • Schedule appointments and manage calendars for staff and program services 
  • Maintain visitor logs and ensure proper sign-in/out procedures 
  • Provide accurate information and referrals to programs and services 
  • Perform data entry and maintain client records in compliance with confidentiality standards 
  • Assist with administrative tasks including filing, copying, scanning, and correspondence 
  • Coordinate incoming/outgoing mail and maintain office supply inventory 
  • Support workshops, meetings, and community outreach activities as needed 
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of reception and common areas 
  • Monitor office operations and communicate needs or concerns to appropriate staff 
  • Support special projects and cross-functional administrative needs 
  • Adhere to all organizational policies, including confidentiality, and data privacy 

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required 
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (spoken required; written preferred) 
  • 1+ year of receptionist, administrative, or customer service experience preferred 
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, email systems, data entry platforms) 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain composed in a fast-paced environment 
  • Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and punctuality 


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a nonprofit, community-based, or human services environment 
  • Familiarity with client intake systems or case management databases 
  • Experience working with diverse populations
