Position Summary
The Front Desk Receptionist/Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and community partners. This role is responsible for delivering professional, culturally responsive, and efficient front office support while ensuring confidentiality, accurate recordkeeping, and a welcoming environment aligned with NNCC’s mission and values.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Greet and assist clients, visitors, and vendors in a professional and culturally respectful mannerÂ
- Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls; respond to general inquiriesÂ
- Schedule appointments and manage calendars for staff and program servicesÂ
- Maintain visitor logs and ensure proper sign-in/out proceduresÂ
- Provide accurate information and referrals to programs and servicesÂ
- Perform data entry and maintain client records in compliance with confidentiality standardsÂ
- Assist with administrative tasks including filing, copying, scanning, and correspondenceÂ
- Coordinate incoming/outgoing mail and maintain office supply inventoryÂ
- Support workshops, meetings, and community outreach activities as neededÂ
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of reception and common areasÂ
- Monitor office operations and communicate needs or concerns to appropriate staffÂ
- Support special projects and cross-functional administrative needsÂ
- Adhere to all organizational policies, including confidentiality, and data privacyÂ
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent requiredÂ
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (spoken required; written preferred)Â
- 1+ year of receptionist, administrative, or customer service experience preferredÂ
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, email systems, data entry platforms)Â
- Strong communication and interpersonal skillsÂ
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain composed in a fast-paced environmentÂ
- Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and punctualityÂ
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a nonprofit, community-based, or human services environmentÂ
- Familiarity with client intake systems or case management databasesÂ
- Experience working with diverse populationsÂ
