Position Summary

Global C2 Integration Technologies is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Database Administrator (DBA) at the Full Performance level who manages, maintains, and optimizes mission-critical databases and data systems that support program operations and analytics. This role serves as both the database administrator and system administrator for contract-required databases, ensuring availability, performance, security, and data integrity.


Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise databases to ensure high availability, performance, reliability, and security.
  • Design, install, upgrade, and evaluate scalable database architectures supporting structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
  • Manage schema modifications, configuration changes, replication, transaction logs, and distributed database synchronization.
  • Implement, monitor, and test backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Perform performance tuning of queries, stored procedures, triggers, and datasets to improve storage efficiency and system responsiveness.
  • Ensure data integrity, currency, compliance, and adherence to access control and audit standards.
  • Develop and enforce database management policies, procedures, and standard operating documentation.
  • Conduct data audits, modifications, and updates using SQL and administrative tools.
  • Support ingestion, integration, and organization of diverse data sources to enable advanced analytics and reporting capabilities.
  • Provide statistical and mathematical support to analyze and interpret data, including development of algorithms and analytical applications as required.
  • Build and maintain reporting and data visualization solutions using enterprise reporting tools.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, software engineers, and operational stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Provide technical support to system administrators and help desk teams and review technical designs and documentation.
  • Research and implement emerging database and analytics technologies to enhance performance and capability.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of experience in database administration or data-centric system support.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and other common DBMS platforms.
  • Expertise in data modeling, stored procedures, triggers, replication, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.
  • Experience working with data mining techniques and data-centric systems.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and Windows operating environments.
  • Experience with statistical and analytical software tools (e.g., SPSS, SAS, MATLAB) and data visualization platforms.
  • Ability to develop mathematical algorithms or analytical models to address complex requirements.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI (ISSA) clearance required.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience integrating diverse data sources (e.g., web traffic, survey data, operational databases) to support business or mission analytics.
  • Experience developing system enhancements, proof-of-concept demonstrations, or capability improvement initiatives.
  • Experience supporting reporting frameworks and enterprise analytics environments.
  • Ability to provide user training and contribute to cross-functional technical teams.
  • Understanding of enterprise data governance, dissemination policies, or compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated collaboration across multidisciplinary technical and operational teams.
