Summary To assist with installations of heating and air conditioning systems, accessories, and ductwork to company standards while providing the customer with a high-quality experience. Works under the supervision and guidance of a senior level installer. May be able to perform basic tasks unsupervised and unassisted. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Normal work schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., but the end time may vary to complete the job. Essential Job Functions Always maintains a professional appearance and attitude Maintains required levels of truck stock items Properly use safety equipment daily, to include but not limited to, gloves, back brace, lifting harness, safety glasses and continual observation of surroundings and team members On a daily basis clean interior of the vehicle. The vehicle should be kept free of trash, debris, unused food and drink. Vehicle interior should be swept free from excess dirt. Vehicle interior compartments should hold all tools and equipment, keeping floor area free from falling and/or rolling items Assist the lead installer with the weekly vehicle inspection report Operate company vehicle following all safety standards and applicable laws Follow instructions from the supervisor in a timely manner Immediately report any problems with company tools or vehicles to the office Work well with customers, co-workers and other subcontractors Properly prepare the job site using drop cloths, moving furniture or obstructions and prepare surface areas using floor protectors Clean job site. The job site should be picked up and left in a condition better or equivalent to that as when we arrived. This includes moving all trash and debris, sweeping or vacuuming sites, removing all tools, parts, and equipment. Properly remove all install flexible ductwork per code Properly support ductwork per code Properly remove equipment per code Use and perform workflow process on service software through mobile device Other duties as assigned. Travel Travel may be required for training, events, and to and from job sites. Travel will primarily be within Lane County. Qualifications Must pass drug and background screens Valid driver’s license and insurable through the company insurance carrier Able to communicate clearly in English both verbally and in writing Enrolled in an HVAC training program preferred Education and Experience High school diploma or GED EPA Certified or obtain within 3 months of hire Ability to work with tools used in the job in a safe manner Ability to accurately read a tape measure down to the ⅛” This position requires: Punctuality Communication Constructive feedback Job specific knowledge and skills for job level Technical/Professional skills and knowledge Continuous Learning and Professional Development Customer/Client focused Quality Oriented/Work Standards Safety Awareness Stress Tolerance Work Environment Environment may consist of extreme variations due to conditions, including but not limited to: heat, cold, wet, wind, snow, humidity, sunlight, absence of light, dust, high particulate air conditions, heights (e.g. rooftops), insects, animals, mammals, reptiles, insulation handling, tight crawl spaces and other conditions deemed by worksite. Physical Demands Reaching, bending, stooping, walking, sitting, crawling, squatting.
