Transnetyx Tissue is seeking a full-time Laboratory Technician to join our team! 


Location: Springfield, Illinois
Schedule: Full-time | onsite | in-person
Compensation: starting hourly rate $22.00

What You’ll Do

You’ll be a key part of our lab operations—executing protocols with precision, supporting your team, and ensuring every order meets our high-quality standards.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform tissue harvesting
  • Conduct detailed tissue dissections across a variety of tissue types
  • Prepare and formulate tissue media under strict quality control standards
  • Package and ship products with accuracy, including labeling and documentation
  • Maintain lab cleanliness, equipment care, and inventory levels
  • Support daily lab operations, including stocking and receiving materials
  • Process tissue for live cell cultures using aseptic techniques
  • Assist with research projects under leadership guidance
  • Provide basic customer support via email and phone
  • Help train and mentor new or existing team members

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who combines technical ability with reliability and a strong work ethic.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Some college coursework in life sciences (strongly preferred)
  • 3+ years of relevant experience (lab, medical, pharmacy, or similar environment preferred)

  • Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures with precision
  • Solid organizational and time management skills
  • Basic computer proficiency (email, data entry, etc.)
  • Clear communication and active listening skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn, teach, and support others

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Combination of standing, walking, and desk-based work; sitting and standing for extended periods of time
  • Routine lab tasks including cleaning, stocking, and equipment handling
  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs overhead as needed, and move 50 lbs on occasion but not overhead as needed
