Logistics Specialist

Locations: On-Site – Springfield, VA

Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI

Salary Range: Commensurate with Experience

ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are seeking a Logistics Specialist to support Logistics Officers in planning, coordinating, and executing logistics operations for facilities, equipment sites, and globally deployed resources. The position supports supply chain, inventory, accountable property, asset management, government property disposal, and logistics data analysis activities while ensuring compliance with applicable DoD policies.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Support logistics operations, including supply chain, inventory, distribution, transportation, accountable property, asset management, and government property disposal, including LDD.
Maintain accurate property records and support GFP/CAP management in accordance with DoD policies, FAR/DFARS, and applicable accounting and reporting requirements.
Analyze logistics data and vendor performance to identify trends, improve operational efficiency, and support senior-level decision making and process improvement initiatives.
Develop briefings, reports, project plans, memoranda, and other communications while supporting strategic communications, metrics, and data analysis across the organization.

Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience in logistics support, property management, inventory management, or contract property administration.
Experience analyzing logistics data and developing recommendations to improve operations.
Knowledge of DoD logistics policies and FAR/DFARS requirements related to GFP and CAP.
Experience leading task teams and executing logistics or process-improvement projects.
Strong written and oral communication skills, including experience briefing diverse audiences and senior decision makers.
Experience with electronic publishing and document production.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and standard business applications.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and support strategic-level decisions and initiatives.
