Job Overview

A Lube Tech performs basic vehicle maintenance services, focusing primarily on oil changes and other fluid-related services. It's often a starting point for a career in automotive repair.

✅ Typical Responsibilities

• Oil Changes – Drain and replace engine oil and oil filters.

• Fluid Checks & Top-offs – Transmission, coolant, brake, power steering, and windshield washer fluids.

• Tire Rotations – Rotating tires to promote even wear.

• Air Filter Replacements – Engine and cabin air filters.

• Inspect Belts & Hoses – Look for visible wear or damage.

• Chassis Lubrication – Lubricate suspension and steering systems if needed.

• Basic Safety Inspections – Check brakes, lights, battery, and other basic components.

Qualifications

️ Skills Required

• Basic automotive knowledge

• Ability to use hand tools and power tools

• Attention to detail

• Physical stamina (lots of standing, lifting, bending)

• Good communication (to interact with customers or service advisors)

Certifications & Training

• High school diploma or GED Preferred 

• On-the-job training is Provided
