Ozarks First in Springfield, Missouri, is hiring a News Photographer/Video Editor. The ideal candidate must be passionate about journalism. You will shoot and edit daily packages, VO's/VOSOTS, special assignments, and natural sound packages. The successful candidate will have a high degree of professionalism, effective communication skills, the ability to organize and prioritize workload, and function well in high-pressure situations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Shoot and edit daily videos and stories for newscasts
Understanding of how to create videos and photos for our web and social media platforms
Must be able to carry 50 lbs. of equipment (camera, TVU, tripod, lights, and other equipment)
Set up live shots on very short notice
The ability to work under pressure
Drive and maintain news vehicles
Suggest stories, read online news, and follow social media daily
Collaborate with coworkers to discuss assignments and logistics

Requirements & Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
Fluency in English.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks.
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
Flexibility to work any shift.
